Is UPS running on Presidents Day?

Presidents Day isn't on the UPS holiday list, so it's a full operating day: normal pickup, normal delivery, normal scheduled dates. Banks, post offices, and federal offices are all closed, and UPS runs right through it.

One exception matters if you're waiting on a package. UPS Ground Saver and UPS Mail Innovations hand the final leg to the Postal Service, so on a day USPS is closed those two take one extra day even though UPS itself is working. Ground Saver is what many online retailers choose for light, low-cost parcels — if that's the service on your tracking page, add a day.

The tracking page names the service. Ground Saver (formerly SurePost) and Mail Innovations both finish with a USPS carrier at your mailbox, which is why a post office holiday delays them. Regular UPS Ground isn't affected.
